Dreaming of the DancingShaman

For the first time since his death almost a year ago, I dreamed of Alex. It was a crazy dream about aliens taking humans from earth (combo of KNOWING and SKYLINE I suppose) to save them from what was to come.

I was there with two people I didn't know. A psychotic little girl and an older girl. The little one wanted to poison the aliens for who knows why. I kept protecting our mentor alien. In the end, I killed the little girl and the other one using the poison the little girl made. It was a hard choice but I did it because I knew the aliens were really trying to help us.

I remember telling my alien mentor I needed a new place to be. My mentor sent me down another corridor where Johanna was. She didn't seem to know me but she welcomed me in anyway. Sent me to the command center where everyone was working.

That was where Alex was. In the middle of tons of people working to run the spaceship. He knew me and welcomed me. "It'll be just like old times. It's not like I haven't shared an office with you before." He set me up at a computer station between him and Lisa. I remember looking around and recognizing so many people.

Alex gave me a hug and said, "I'm glad to see you."

I woke up happy. It was a really good dream. But now, I miss him so much.
