Apparently I have a thing...

While Jeff and I were talking about my latest short story, The Cost of Job Security, we discovered that I apparently have a thing for writing stories where locations and non-living things eat people. In The Cost of Job Security it is a mall. In other stories, it has been a condo, a hole in the ground, blackberry bushes, shadows and clothing in a boutique.

I still need to have a car, a hospital, a movie theater, a hotel, and a gas station eat someone in a story.

In other stories, I have also had a half wolf/half monster, a troll, Red caps, a Sasquatch-like monster, humans, and a Wendigo eat people.

Yeah. It's a thing.

Ahhh... those moments where your writing turns into free therapy.

That usually leads to just more confusion.

Ship. Ghost Ships need to eat the crews of those vessels who 'find' them, in order to sustain their unholy, extra temporal and phantasmic existence.

It's a fact; Look it up!

A website! You definitely need one where a website eats people! Or, even better, a blog!

Oh, and while I'm here, I keep trying to think of sets of words for your "3 for 300", but I seem to only come up with goofy ones. That being said, if you feel so inspired, you are more than welcome to try your hand at "Bacon/Lettuce/Tomato" or "Control/Alternate/Delete" (or its close cousin "Abort/Retry/Ignore").
