Writerly Burble

I had a long chat with my co-editor over at Morrigan Books about the Grants Pass anthology. She showed me the cover layout she wants to do for the anthology and I love it. It helps knowing how she wants to do it. Plus, she's given me a couple of tasks beyond looking at her edit critiques of the current stories. These tasks include an updated bio, a foreword to the anthology, an afterword to my particular story and my acknowledgements/dedications for the book.

Let me repeat a couple of those... Write a foreword to the anthology and my acknowledgements/dedications for the book.

This is real.

I am writing my official 'thank you's and such for my book! Excuse me while I vibrate over here for a moment.

Very cool. BTW, I take it from your post that I shouldn't worry that I haven't received the editor notes for my story yet. Any idea when I should worry about that, or should I send an email ping?

Yep. No worries. We are currently going through the accepted (web and book) stories one by one for editorial comments. You should probably hear from us in the next 2-3 weeks.

A great reward for a lot of hard work. Outstanding. I'm thinking a party is in order - isn't that a tradition when a book ships? If not, it should be. You deserve it.
