Pulling Up the Bootstraps

Mailed the Grants Pass contract.

Followed the next step in my "Find an agent" plan.

Talked to Morrigan Books publisher and he told me that he would like me to get some footage of my trip to down to Grants Pass, Oregon. I'm going with da hubby and Rory to get the cover shot of my upcoming anthology. My publisher wants to create a mini-movie trailer for the book. Looks like he will be at San Diego Comic Con 2009 and wants to do a huge promotion of the four books (including mine!!) coming out that July. My Swedish publisher in the US and my book released? For that, I will go to San Diego Comic Con.

Also, he practically ordered me to query his acquisitions person at the publishing house with the synopsis of my Freaky Friday Fiction book. Now that is a compliment even if she doesn't want to take it.

I immediately called my mom and asked how the editing was going. She told me good but and I quote, "You can't read a lot of those in a row. You really can't. I read like five of them and ... they're really ... well... freaky. I had nightmares."

I was ecstatic. Well, I felt bad for my mom but really happy. I told her, "I'm sorry, mom. But, that's great! That's what I want to hear!"

The bootstraps are holding.
