The small press is also known for publishing new authors, midlist authors, short story collections, and other "odd" books typically rejected by New York publishers. Our panelists represent a spectrum of publications.
5/25/2008 1:00pm Where Would I Be Without D&D - Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson created the fantasy role-playing game Dungeons and Dragons over 30 years ago. It is estimated that over 20 million people have played the game. Our panelists discuss how the game (and RPGs in general) have changed their lives and our society, and opine on what, if any, changes may come now that Gygax has died.

5/25/2008 8:00pm Ji-Dian LARP - Harlequins and Hellfire! is a special episode of the live action role-playing game (LARP), Ji Dian Station, based on Joss Whedon's Firefly and Serenity. This game takes place on Paquin, as described in the Serenity role-playing game. Ji Dian Station uses a homegrown system designed to get through the challenges as quickly as possible so we can get to the fun of role-playing. Guests will be playing pre-generated characters with histories, goals, and even secrets. I am an NPC for this game.
