HalloNaNoween Kick-off write-in at Denny's Overlake

Even after we invaded with over 20 writers last Halloween, Denny's is still willing to host our Eastside kick-off this year. So here's the little scoopy:

Gather between 11:00 and 11:30 to get food and drink. Some people, we discovered, like to eat all through the first chapter, while others want their fingers washed and ready at the stroke of midnight. Judge your timing accordingly.

At precisely midnight, the Great Pumpkin will.... no that's a different story. We'll drop the flag and everyone start writing. So bring your laptop or your portable desktop, or your pad of paper and some sharp pencils.

Prizes! Yes! for the first thousand words for everyone! Xaandria has upped the stakes as far as prizes go, so now I have to see what I can do to compete. Let's just say that judging from last year, everyone will win!

When the writing starts to slow, the waitress/waiter comes by with the tabs. Please don't forget to pay for your chow on the way out!

Can't wait to see you all again this year!

Yes. I'm insane. I'm OK with this. I'm doing NaNo for my "extra credit" novel this year. I'm really looking forward to it.

I think I should take a nap sometime this evening.

Good Luck to all of the other NaNoWriMo writers this year.
