the_mercury was odd last night. The music was eclectic to say the least but I did go out and dance a little bit. It was more crowded than I had seen in a while but there were a whole lot of people I didn't really know. As romeos_mistress put it, we were all doing the "goth bobblehead" thing most of the night - where you smile and nod at people you recognize but don't know enough to talk to.

cmpriest was right: pulzella_gaia and I should have met a long time ago. Just had to be said.

I finished the last book of Margaret Weis' Dragonvarld series. It has a very satisfying conclusion. I'm finishing the 7th book in Stephen King's The Dark Tower series and man, I forgot what an emotional upheaval that book was. Next up is Cherie Priest's sequel to Four and Twenty Blackbirds called Wings to the Kingdom.

Thinking of emotional upheaval, it's that time of the month and I seem to have drawn the "erotic dreams" card and the "gonna burst into tears for no decent reason" card. So, if I do burst into tears around you during the next couple of days, it's alright.

On the good side of life, I got an unexpected, but very welcome, random call from ivan23 this afternoon. I'm not much of a phone person but there are certain people I can talk to on the phone with ease. Ivan is one of them.

It's about time for me to go figure out what I'm going to wear tonight for fullcontactmuse's Crimson Dawn LARP.

Tomorrow: KITTENS! I think I have a naming theme for them but I have to see if the personalities fit.
