Silent Hill and the Damn Raccoon

Ron and I went to see Silent Hill tonight. It is one messed up movie. If you enjoyed the game, you would enjoy the movie. It really is made by someone who has played the game. A lot. The monsters were spectacular. The gore was sufficient but not overwhelming. The imagery was incredibly disturbing. It was an intense movie. It had me really keyed up afterwards. So, when the large gray and black raccoon ran across the road in front of the car, I freaked. Adrenaline dumped into my system and everything. I swore loudly as a way to release some of my freaked-out-ness. Thank God, I wasn't driving because there would have been an accident.

For the record, I don't consider the ending "Lori-able" even though it is totally in keeping with the game and I actually thought it was pretty appropriate/interesting.

Oh, yeah. I'm probably sleeping with the lights on tonight.

I think I need ice cream.
