My Plate is Full

Dammit! I would tell my muse to go take a hike but I'm afraid she would and take her sisters with her. Instead, I will write this letter with love and care.

Dear Muse,

I very much appreciate you. Honestly, I really do. I love every interesting and fun idea you put in my head. But, I'm having a hard time keeping up with you. I am just now sending out Regresser's Evolution to the last group of readers. I am outlining the stories for the Edge of Propinquity. I am trying to keep up with submitting my work around and the other Kendrick stories still waiting in the wings. TTF is still stewing and creeping forward more and more insistently. Really, my plate is full. I couldn't be happier.

But, last night, you hit me with an idea that just rocks. Not only does it rock, it is a novel idea that rocks and is mainstream! Yes, really! A mainstream idea that I could sell to a much more open market. I am stunned by this and saddened by the fact that I don't have any more room on my writing plate. At least, not right now. So, as much fun as the novel idea seems like it would be to write, I've put an outline in my Ideas folder and will hopefully be able to get back to it next year sometime.

Thank you for everything.
