I can't think of a good title.

I shocked two customer service representatives this morning by calling any asking them to lower the available credit on my credit cards. For one, I dropped it from $25K to $5K. The other, I dropped it from $15K to $5K and asked to be pulled out of the automatic limit increase program. (What an insidious thing!) I was very polite and had to explain to both that the very high open credit limit on my cards was messing up my credit rating.

You see, when someone pulls your credit rating, it looks at everything, including:
• How much debt you already have.
• What you repayment rate has been like over the last year.
• How much more debt could you get yourself into - which is how much credit to you have available on ALL major credit cards, all store credit cards and lines of credit in your name - whether you use them or not.

One of the best things you can do to improve your credit rating is to close all store credit cards and keep only two major credit cards that you pay off on a regular basis.

Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning will be published on the net in a few hours. Here's an unofficial pre-publication for you There's a catch, of course - we are looking for people to help with seeding it since demand will be great, so if you can and want to, download this and keep your share on.

Hmm. I don't use Bit Torrent. sorry. But thanks.

Ok, no problem The core team thought it would be the only feasible way to get this done, there's a four digit amount of people just waiting to download a ~600mb file. The lines will be red-hot

Jennifer says:
I'll post about it on my LJ though.
