The Verdict...

I saw the orthopedic specialist. After his examination, he believes I sprained the medial collateral ligament in my left knee. Or, in layman's terms, I pulled the ligament on the right side of my left knee. At this time, he does not believe I have torn it. I am to stay off the leg as much as possible, wear the immobilizer 24/7 for the next week and ice the knee twice a day. Then, wean myself off the immobilizer for the next 2 weeks. If I'm not well by the time I'm ready to go to CA for my trip, I'm to come back for more investigation. However, he's pretty sure I'll be fine. In fact, after the week, I can start my normal walking again as long as I go on a flat path with no turns and no ups or downs. Not great but not as bad as it could have been. So, most likely, I will still go to faire this weekend. I'll just take it slow, resting frequently.
