Childe Roland to the Dark Tower went...

After seven books and many hundreds of thousands of words, I have finally finished the Dark Tower series by Stephen King. I think I like the final ending. I certainly found it ironic. Absolutely ironic because, as I was reading the last scene with Eddie, Suzanna and Jake (before the final chapter with Roland), I was already pondering the idea of rereading the first book of the series, The Gunslinger, all over again. Once I had the ending fresh in my head, I wanted to also have the beginning that had captured me so there, too. Many people call Stephen King a hack writer. Me? I think he is a fine storyteller.
