Two birds with one stone

Guess what I did! I faced my fear of new things/people (as well as the fear of my own inadequacy) and signed up for something I have wanted to do for years. After being reminded of my love of Kodo drums at Norwescon, I decided that, darn it, I really wanted to learn how to play them. So, I have signed up for Seattle Kokon Taiko's August class. For five Monday nights in August, I will be learning how to play Kodo drums and discovering whether or not I have any talent in it. If I do, I will seriously consider becoming an apprentice drummer.
