Tick... tick... tick... *BOOM*

Damn Casey anyway - and I mean that in the nicest way possible. While at lunch with him, I slipped out one of the nuggets of my Ticking Timb Bomb of a Story Waiting to Happen. I nattered over the one bit of hard science that I couldn't get around and that was blocking my story.

It was also keeping my TTB at bay.

Casey easily figured a way around my hard science stump. Then, on the way home, he helped me refine the situation around the hard science explanation.

Suddenly, all my blocks are gone and the Ticking Timb Bomb of a Story Waiting to Happen has exploded. I've already written up a couple bulleted pages around the whole hard science mess, the 'facts' involved and how it ties into the backstory as well as the future story.

Never mind the fact that I haven't gotten to the actual outline behind things like: The Rescue. The Backstory. Introduction to the New Stuff. Acclimation. The Academy. The First Assignment, etc... Never mind the fact that neither of my protagonists have names. I've already made them lovers in my own mind and the heroine accidently kills someone close to her... Never mind the fact that after I get them to where they need to be in the setting, I have no idea what I'm going to with them then.

Though, I do know why the Antagonists want to kill the heroine and that's a good thing.

Back to my furious note jotting.
