I just got back from my walk. It was a speed walk with no weights. I've decided two things:

1. I much prefer walking a track outdoors than the treadmill in my house. The treadmill is boring and I can't walk as fast as I want because I have a harder time keeping my balance.

2. I have come to truly appreciate speedwalking without weights. I feel much freer. The weights are important but not nearly as much fun.

The other observation I have noticed today is that when you are in the right zone in a walk, you can feel all of your muscles working. It isn't soreness or pain, but there is a definite sensation of muscles working that is just delightful to feel - especially in my butt and upper thighs. Something that says, "These muscles are getting a work out and are becoming stronger." I really, really like that sensation.
