Still Alive

I'm still alive if a bit quiet. Just mentally hibernating, I suppose. This is going to be one busy weekend. Yesterday I went to the stage performance of The Lion King and really enjoyed it. Tonight, I am going to go see Watchmen with my husband and bunch of friends. Tomorrow night is Emerald City Chronicles where I find out if my husband becomes the new Head Storyteller of a 150+ person vampire LARP with me on his staff (Yes, yes, I know I said 'Never again.' But never is a long time.). Sunday, my MIL and FIL are stopping by for the afternoon and evening. I am not freaking out over the in-laws showing up. I really like them.

I'm doing a lot more reading right now and the new writing is stewing in the back of my head. I have too many projects clamoring for attention and no one is standing out. I'm going to have to pick one, settled down and DO it. The two front runners are the second novel in the fantasy series and the fourth novella in the urban fantasy series. I really don't know which one I'm going to do next.

Of course, I just got my player's guide to Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (which I lost in the move, I think) and have a hankering to play that. Last time I played that game, I played it for almost three months straight. At least an hour a day until I had solved EVERY quest and puzzle. It got to the point that I was dreaming in Oblivion. However, that was years ago and I don't remember it anymore. Plus, they have new content. Between that and my husband getting a new TV mount for my office, I suspect I'm going to spend a lot of my free time in Oblivion again. It's a good thing I've promised myself two days off writing a week – Fridays and Saturdays.

For the rest of the week, I believe I'm going to use Oblivion playing as a reward. Write 1000-2000 words a day and then I get to play my game. Make 5 good short story submissions and then I get to play my game. Finish all of my current Amazon gig and then I get to play my game. Ya'll get the picture.

So, how are you?
