That's a good story...

I just got another really good story for Grants Pass. In the time honored tradition of procrastination from less pleasant work, I took a look at this latest submission. It was good enough that I forgot to look for the usual spelling and grammer mistakes. I need more like this one.

Hmmm. Reminds me. I need to email my Grants Pass for a 100-150 bio and give them an update on publishers.

The Edge of Propinquity!

(It's early, but I'm going out tonight.)

Volume 6: June 2006

The June volume of the Edge of Propinquity has been published! Along with the usual set of stories from our four authors, we have two guest authors this month: Cherie Priest and Stina Leicht. I hope you enjoy the stories we have for you this month that include a paradise that has become hell, an unwanted sacrifice, the question of perspective and the discovery that even if you want to go back, you can't.

Kendrick - The Inspiration of Insanity by Jennifer Brozek AKA gaaneden
Karen's latest task from Reginald sends her to the Kendrick Home for the Mentally Insane to participate in an odd ritual to set a muse free. Her experience causes her to question her own life and sanity.

Luminations - Murder by Rick Silva AKA shaharazad
Chester Hall investigates the murder of a woman he knew in college. Was she really living in "Geek Heaven"? Or was there something beneath the façade of her fellowship of friends that led to her death? Chess seeks justice for a life cut tragically short.

Vorare - Within the Fold by Ivan Ewert AKA ivan23
Within the Farmhouse, Gordon learns more of the Gentlemen Ghouls and their curious philosophy of life. Faced with the chance to learn what part his family played in the foundation of the society, and the chance to take his vengeance on the wellspring of his sins, he makes his choice in the blood-soaked barn.

Hidden City - New Direction by Ryan P. Macklin AKA macklinr
Michael goes to work for the first time since everything that has happened, to find his co-workers treating him strangely. Later, he encounters the bus driver from his weird experience. T-Bird sees Michael alive and speaks with Claude on what to do next.

Guest Author - Little Wards by Cherie Priest AKA cmpriest
Hospitals are scary for adults and terrifying for children. Even more so for a child who discovers that monsters really do exist. She is forced to make a choice no person, much less a child, should ever have to make.

Guest Author - Of Blood and Honey by Stina Leicht AKA stina_leicht
When her fondest wish of meeting the fae comes true, Tess discovers that it is much more than she bargained for - for herself and for the guardian she never knew she had. Now, she must obey the laws of the fae or lose her life.

Have you ever looked over the edge and seen something looking back at you?

Thanks!
