BTiLC Are you insane

My Morning

Jennifer says:
$970 + tax
Fuck me running sideways with a chainsaw!
My car went into the shop for the 60K maintenance...

Nick says:
That's a lot of moooooo laaaaah

Jennifer says:
$260 there abouts... until they found all sorts of interesting things with my transmission and steering column. Ah, well. I can cover it. They are going to check and see how much is covered by my extended warranty.

Nick says:
At 60k miles it must be getting close to the end of your extended?

Jennifer says:
So much for my mid-life muddle tangent of selling my condo and buying a snazzy new car. If I'm putting $1000 into it, I'm keeping it for another year at least.

No. 7 year extended warranty from the time I bought it in 2003.

Nick says:
You could always ditch it and use it for a down payment. And get something convertible.

Jennifer says:
Nah. I can't do anything about my mid-life muddle until next year because of circumstances I really can't go into. Plus, I really need the condo for the tax write off due selling a bunch of MS stock this year.

Nick says:
But ... but .... but .... Convertible!

Jennifer says:
I don't like convertibles. I would get a PT Cruiser, a Mini-Coop or a Prius.

[LOCAL] Estate Planning...

Anyone know of a lawyer who does Estate Planning (IE: Last Will & Testament) that they would recommend to me? East side is preferred but I'll go to the West side if necessary. Thanks.

EDIT: I'm fine. Really. I just realized with owning a house, a car, lots of toys and having lots of investments, it would be a good thing for me to set up a Last Will. Especially since I am single. There are things I want certain people to have. Plus, I want to set up college funds for all my nieces and nephews.
BTiLC Check into a psycho ward

"My, that's a nice mid-life crisis you have there. Does it come in blue, too?"

Apparently, the cure for the mid-life muddle is a sports car. Speaking of which, I almost bought one today. A 2004 Saturn Ion Quad-Coup. Used. Cheap enough for me to pay with cash if I turned in my old Saturn. It was silver with 270 horse power and one hell of a lot of get up and go.

Ok. I didn't almost buy it. But, I did test drive it and the thought seriously stuck in my mind for about 2 minutes. It was a stick shift. Sweet to drive. Guaranteed to get me ticketed within six months of buying it. Made poor Sterling feel positively mushy and slow on the drive home. I really liked "quad coup" style and I'm suddenly considering a two door car for my next car.

Now, I'm even more afraid to test drive any other zippy cars because I will want them - a whole lot.
