Heart Melt

I'm in a poetic mood this morning.

Heart Melt
Things that make me melt...
Gifts of love, heartfelt.
The beauty of a setting sun...
The scent of bread, perfectly done.

A single white rose, wet with dew...
Hearing those words, "I love you."
Whiskers on kittens to tickle my nose...
Watching the butterfly to see where it goes.

First morning's cuddle, safe and warm...
The baby fresh scent of my sister's newborn.
Reading my book on a cold afternoon...
A flickering candle to chase away the gloom.

Light warm kisses on the back my neck...
Drawing the "The Lovers" from my Tarot deck.
His gentle touch, on the small of my back...
Stealing the covers, with just the right knack.

The love in his eyes when he enters the door...
Stolen kisses that make me want more.
The taste of chocolate on the tip of my tongue...
The beautiful sound of poetry sung.

A hand in my hair, holding me tight...
Nibbles up my neck, the soft lovebite.
The very first steps of a journey begun....
A secret surprise of mischievious fun.

A strong kiss, taking my breath away...
A smoldering glance, telling me to stay.
The warm voice, murmuring a soft command....
The body's warm rush, at passion's demand.

Singing my favorite song, on the radio...
Dancing together, sensual and slow.
Little things, seen, touched and felt....
These are the things that make my heart melt.
