The end is the beginning

I typed "The End" on Chimera Incarnate on Friday. But I know I'm far from the end. I just need to let it sit for a month or two before I go back for an full edit before it goes to the editor.

I need to write 3 contracted short stories, edit a short story collection, and begin writing Never Let Me Leave (Oct). I will focus only on Never Let Me Leave in November (and editing two novellas for AIP). December will be for writing a chapter of a non-fiction gaming book, a contracted short story, and editing Chimera Incarnate.

I know that's 4 short stories, 1 non-fiction chapter, and a novel to write in 3 months. Yes, I can do it. Fortunately, my friends understand what "I'm sorry, I can't. I'm on deadline." means*.

*"I'm sorry. I can't. I loved to hang out with you but if I don't get my word count in the monsters will eat me."
