Mourning Characters

Last night’s LARP was a clusterfuck of PvP that ended with 5 elder characters murdered and 5 more characters forced from the city. Including my happy, shiny Assamite.

I’m sad about it. I mean, character death and retirement happens. I get that. At the same time, I’m mourning the loss of the characters I got to interact with and the character relationships created. I was just hitting my stride where I knew how she would jump, no matter what would happen. I knew who she was staunchly loyal to and who she hated.

So, yeah. Still kinda upset this morning.

And I can’t decide which new character concept to go with because I don’t have any of their props—and both of them have specific looks. One wears a mask; one I had planned to hand make. The other is a blond who wears corsets. I still need the wig and to figure out if any of my corsets fit.

Either way, I think, unless something drastic happens, I’m going to have to take a week or two off of game to figure out which character and go get their gear.
