It's the New Year

It's the new year and I've got my usual "What did I write/publish/game design in 2012 and what do I have planned for 2013" post over at my pro-blog.

I used to do pottery as a kid and I'd like to do that again. I'm just not sure where to start. Actually, I think I'm just jonesing to create art that isn't just words. Something physical. I used to love doing stained glass (not practical at home) and to do pottery (again not practical). At this point, it looks like I'm might shift into learning to paint miniatures because I'm about to get a stupidly large amount of them from a Kickstarter I supported. The Husband is good at that sort of thing. I'm just not sure I have the patience. I guess we'll find out.

I've also picked up a really cool notebook that I want to use for doodling with poetry, short stories, and the like. Just something to put down creative thoughts away from the computer. Maybe I'll pick up some markers and at that to the Notebook.

I hope everyone's had a good holiday season. Me? I'm glad to get back to my normal routine. Even if I do plan to shake it up a little.
