Physical Therapy

I've started physical therapy for my back now. It's a wee bit strange but the doc has included "desensitization" as part of the routine and it is worse than everything else. I can deal with pain from stretching and working out and core strengthening... but C-, my physical therapist, also has to rub my back with a variety of things.

Mostly soft things. Some rubber, some slightly spikey. And, honestly, the nerves in my back are so sensitive and reactive, this part of PT is torture. The lighter the touch, the worse it is. My back was freaking out for an hour afterwards.

C- warned me this would happen. I didn't believe her. Now I do. Seriously, I had no idea just rubbing my back would be so bad.
